Predoctoral opening in the Molecular and Cellular Modeling group at Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies

Predoctoral scholarship in the Molecular and Cellular Modeling group at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) in Heidelberg, Germany with Prof. Wade.
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join the Molecular and Cellular Modeling group at HITS for their doctoral studies. The research project will involve computational modelling and simulation of protein interactions.

HITS gGmbH is a private non-profit research laboratory dedicated to basic and applied research, with a strong emphasis on computational biology. The Molecular and Cellular Modeling group is an interdisciplinary research group that works on the development and application of computer-aided methods to predict and simulate biomolecular interactions. The focus is on proteins and the computational approaches are mostly based on the three-dimensional structures of macromolecules. Techniques cover a wide spectrum from interactive, web-based visualization tools to molecular and Brownian dynamics simulations (see http://www.h-its.org/mcm).

Candidates should possess a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in biophysics or a related discipline. Experience in biomolecular modeling and simulation, as well as programming, is highly desirable. A strong interest in interdisciplinary research is essential.
